Water Damage Restoration

Extraction, structural drying, and the readings that prove it is dry.

Get the water out, then get the building dry

Get the water out, then get the building dry

A water loss is decided in the first day. Water leaves the visible area almost immediately, travels along framing, and settles in the material that dries slowest, which is why the puddle you mopped up is rarely the extent of the problem.

Pro Restore extracts what is standing, maps what is hidden, and places drying equipment for the building in front of us. Readings are logged every day and the equipment stays until the material meets a documented dry standard, because pulling fans early is how a water loss becomes a mold job.

What a Water Loss Involves

Extraction and structural drying

Extraction and structural drying

Standing water is pulled first, then air movers and dehumidifiers are placed for the way this building actually dries rather than to a fixed formula.

Hidden moisture found

Hidden moisture found

Wall cavities, subfloor, insulation, and ceilings are metered and scanned, because water travels along framing and stops being visible long before it stops being wet.

Category read before anything else

Category read before anything else

Clean, gray, or black water decides what can be dried and saved and what has to leave the building, so the category is settled at the assessment.

How the Work Runs

  1. 1

    Assess and Meter

We map the moisture, photograph the damage, and scope the work in writing.

  2. 2

    Contain the Area

Barriers and negative air keep the affected area from reaching the rest of the building.

  3. 3

    Remove and Dry

Unsalvageable material comes out, equipment goes in, and readings are logged daily.

  4. 4

    Treat and Restore

Surfaces are cleaned and treated, then the space is rebuilt and walked with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens on the first visit?

We find and stop the water source if it is still running, meter the affected materials, photograph everything, and scope the drying in writing. Extraction usually starts on that visit.

How do you know when the structure is dry?

By reading it. Materials are metered daily against a documented dry standard and the equipment stays until they meet it, which is sometimes sooner and often later than a surface would suggest.

Will my carpet and flooring be saved?

Sometimes. Carpet over a clean water loss is often dried in place, pad usually is not, and flooring depends on the material and how long it stayed wet. We tell you which of those you are looking at once we have read it.

What does the water category change?

Everything downstream of it. Clean water allows most material to be dried and kept, while gray and black water bring removal, disposal, and antimicrobial treatment into the scope.

Do I have to move out?

Usually not. Equipment is loud and the affected rooms are unusable while it runs, but most households stay put. If a loss makes staying unwise, we say so plainly rather than leaving you to work it out.

Water in the building?

Tell us what happened and we will come out, read the moisture, and put the scope in writing.
